About Organr

Organr is one app with six modules for the family: calendar, chores, shopping list, pantry, dinner ideas and recipes. Everyone in the household signs in with their own PIN on their own phone, and what one person adds, the others see right away.

Our kids play sports, and every club has its own app. Practice lived in one, matches in another, and the messages about who was coming arrived in a third. The school has a calendar per grade, and the grades do not use the same system. The shopping list lived in an app we paid for, the chores in another. The free versions existed, but always with a limit that kicked in exactly when we needed them. None of the apps talked to each other, and one of us always carried the whole picture in their head.

We wanted one app where everything connects, and that each of us carries in a pocket. There is no screen on our kitchen table, and we share no family phone. The calendar, the shopping list, the chores and the pantry are the same no matter who opens them. When someone adds an item in Pantr, Fridgr knows what we have at home. When Fridgr suggests a dinner, whatever is missing lands on the shopping list in Listr.

We subscribe to the calendars from the sports clubs and the school in Calendr, so the whole week sits in one place with one colour per person. Everyone fills the shopping list in Listr, and whoever is in the store ticks things off in store mode. The chores in Taskr sit open with points on them, and whoever takes them first gets the points. Pantr keeps track of the freezer and the cupboard, Fridgr suggests dinner from what we actually have, and Recipr keeps the recipes we cook again and again.

Everything is stored in Frankfurt, in the EU region eu-central-1. We follow GDPR. Privacy and data minimisation were not a layer we added at the end. Family data is among the most private data there is, our own included.
